BYU Creamery on 9th – Get Your Ice Cream Fix

Sep 15, 11 BYU Creamery on 9th – Get Your Ice Cream Fix

BYU Creamery-on-9thThe BYU Creamery on 9th is a hotspot for homemade ice cream all year round. Even when it’s freezing cold outside people flock to the creamery for their ice cream fix. On the colder days their hot chocolate isn’t too bad either.

Sure there are other ice cream places, but once you try BYU’s unique flavors, you’ll see why it’s so popular. Our family favorite is Bishops Bash. If you’re not sure about it or any of the other flavors, they are more than happy to let you try a sample.

Speaking of popularity, here’s a tip…If you wait until supper time to visit, expect to stand in a long line (because everyone loves it and has the same idea). If you want to avoid waiting  in line but can only go during the popular hours, you can actually skip the line altogether and grab some containers of your favorite BYU ice cream from the coolers in the back of the store.  Simply purchase it at the regular cash register in the grocery section of the creamery.

While standing in line, it’s hard not to be tempted to try something from the grill. Their various flavors of french fries seem to be a favorite as almost every table there seems to have them. All their grilled food is good. On special days after visiting one of BYU’s museums, like the Museum of Peoples and Cultures or the MOA (Museum of Art), we’ll even eat supper there and then have some ice cream as dessert.
