Provo Ski Rentals

Ski Rentals ProvoIt’s snowing in the mountains. So it’s time to break out the snowboards and skis again. For the state with the “greatest snow on earth” everyone should be hitting the slopes. There are plenty of different places you can go that aren’t too far away from Provo. There’s Sundance up the canyon. At Park City there’s Deer Valley, Canyons, and Park City Mountain. You can also go to Alta, Brighton, Snowbird or Solitude if you want to go a bit further.

If you don’t have your own set of skis or board there are plenty of places to go rent some. I have found the best place to go for ski rentals in Provo is by going to Outdoors Unlimited. Outdoors Unlimited is located on the east side of the Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center on BYU’s campus. For the day you can rent a set of skis and boots for $12-$15 depending on what year model you want, or you can get a snowboard and boots for $24. You can also rent helmets from them.

If you rent everything for the day you just return your ski rentals the next day, if you rent them on Saturday you just return them Monday as they’re closed on Sunday, and you won’t get charged the extra day. If you’re a BYU student this is about as easy as it get because you can just return them on your way to class. Outdoors Unlimited also offers discounted tickets to most ski resorts although you can normally find a better deal elsewhere.
