Blickenstaff’s Toy Store at Riverwoods

Oct 26, 11 Blickenstaff’s Toy Store at Riverwoods

Blickenstaffs Provo RiverwoodsWe first discovered Blickenstaff’s Toy Store last Christmas when we visited Santa at Provo Riverwoods in his little house (working fireplace included), that was strategically placed in front of the store.  If didn’t know any better I would have said it was Santa’s Workshop.

It is the coolest toy store I have ever seen.  It looks like something I’ve seen in a movie, but just can’t quite place it.

It’s not just a toy store though. It has candy, games and sodas as well.  A great place to find unique stocking stuffers! (Christmas is just around the corner). It’s certainly worth going to just to check it out, but you’ll probably leave with something anyhow.

See the British phone booth in the picture? That is full of candy you can usually only find in Britain and Canada (those are my favorite stocking stuffers). Hiding just behind the giant gumball machine in the picture you will also find hard-to-find sodas (another stocking stuffer favorite).

Blickenstaffs Toy StoreIt’s the atmosphere that really makes it feel different than other toy and gift store.  Be sure to look up and down, under and over things so you don’t miss a thing.  There are toys hanging from the ceiling, a tree in the middle of the store, bulk candy dispensers, a train circling a track when you look up, etc. etc. etc.  Blickenstaff’s Toy Store even has a Christmas tree made of candy (don’t eat it though).

So go check it out, let us know what you thought and be prepared to feel like a kid again.

Warning…if you are taking children, be prepared to stay for a while. They are going to go nuts.
